Floor traders often don't know each other by given name but by the bright yellow or green badges that display their personally chosen floor names. OIL, OPEC, DOLR, ESPN, GOAL, ID, EGO, BOOM, LOUD, TALK, MILK, NYC, TAXI, NOSE, TV, ZEN, and ZEUS are all traders on the Exchange.

NFA REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

To register with the NFA and apply for Floor Broker / Floor Trader privileges, please follow these steps:

Log on to the NFA’s Website at NFA.Futures.Org
Apply to be a Security Manager : upon completion of registration, you will be assigned a password. Keep password for future use in completing the NFA application.
The NFA will mail you a USER ID. Upon receipt of the USER ID, log back onto the NFA’s website using your password and USER ID.
Complete the application for Floor Trader / Floor Broker online.
Mail fingerprints and application fee of $85 to one of the following addresses:

Please note that all changes and/or corrections to your NFA application should be made online. The only hard copy documents that should be sent to the NFA are as follows:

A. Application Fee
B. Documents of explanation regarding any yes answers on the NFA’s application
C. Fingerprint card(s)
