New York Mercantile Exchange Charitable Assistance Fund

Following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the New York Mercantile Exchange set up the New York Mercantile Exchange Charitable Assistance Fund, Inc., as a public charity to raise funds to assist the surviving spouse and/or dependents who require disaster relief or hardship assistance as a result of the unexpected death of a family member, including, but not limited, to those who died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, and all those similarly situated in the future, provided that at the time of their death the deceased was either: (1) a current or former member of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc.; (2) a current or former employee of an Exchange member; (3) a current employee of an Exchange member firm; (4) a current or former employee of the Exchange (including its predecessor in interest) or former employee other Commodity Exchange, Inc. (COMEX); (5) a current or former member of COMEX or the COMEX Division; or (6) a current or former employee of a current COMEX Division member. Latest 1040 must be supplied to prove individual need.
